Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is located in northwest Indiana along Lake Michigan’s southern shoreline. It is one of the most adventurous weekend getaways of Indiana, that covers thousands of acres of forest, marsh, dunes and beaches. The park is home to 1,500 species of plants ranging from arctic bearberry to cactus. Some of those that visitors can explore while visiting the park are - white and black-oak savannas, sedge meadows, tallgrass prairies, swamps, marshes, bogs, and fens. The best part is that, the park has 25 miles of white-sand beaches and wandering dunes such as Mount Baldy.

This park offers an incredible wild life, where in visitors can get to see many animals such as - whitetail deer, red fox, raccoons, opossums, cottontail rabbits, Canada geese, seagulls, hawks, turkey vultures, mallards, great blue herons, garter snakes, songbirds and rodents.

Besides, you can also enjoy numerous recreational activities like - swimming, climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, boating, picnicking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, environmental education programs and special events that are held throughout the year.

There are Visitor Center and Ranger-Led Programs available in the park. Visitor Center provides a great information outlet on the dunes area, its background and available activities. Rangers offer free walks and talks in the whole park on a daily basis.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore offers a great ecosystem which is rare to find and contributes in making this place, one of the best vacations getaways of Indiana.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a heaven for rock music lovers. Located on the shores of Lake Erie in Downtown Cleveland, this pyramid shaped music Mecca is a spectacular, angular, 150,000 square foot building established in 1995. Being one of the best tourist attractions in the city, this is rightly named so, because of the true tribute that it pays to producers, performers and songwriters, who demonstrated a significant influence during the Rock and Roll era.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is often considered as the first choice for weekend-getaways in Ohio, especially by passionate rock music lovers. Music is cardinal to all the exhibits at the Rock Hall. There are headphones generously placed around the the hall for the music lovers to experience rock music and know about the artist who are new to them. The permanent exhibits include lyrics, costumes, instruments, handbills for concerts, musical scores, stage props, etc.There are also featured souvenirs from the artist’s childhood like, report cards, correspondence and shoes.

The visiting hours are from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, and on Wednesdays until 9:00 pm, except for two days, Thanksgiving and Christmas. While on a journey to this musical world, you may also visit some nearby places like, Cleveland Stadium, the Great Lakes Science Centre, the Steamship William G. Mather Maritime Museum,  the Lake Shore Electric Railway interurban museum and the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority.

There are many hotels, motels and resorts around Rock and Roll Hall where you can get a comfortable stay and good food along with shopping centers close by..
