The best weekend getaways for kids in Indiana is, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis where in children can experience great learning in science and nature and can explore history, world cultures and the arts by going through all the exhibits on five levels. It is the largest kids museum situated in Indianapolis.

There are total five levels in the museum that display numerous exhibits like - The first level is “What If?”, that has underwater setting, Dinosaur Discovery Area, where kids can search for dinosaur bones and the Egyptian Pyramid, where one can find Egyptian artifacts and replica of the real mummy. Ground floor, which is the second level, has the largest water clock of North America and county public library.

The third level has many temporary special exhibits and only one permanent exhibit that is passport to the world, where visitors can find traditions and cultures from around the world. The fourth level of the museum has lots of attractions where visitors can explore variety of things, some of which are The Power of Children, Story Avenue and Playscape. The fifth floor houses a real life-size indoor carousel, that is the largest gallery artifacts of museum. Apart from this, here visitors can also find Science Works.

Besides all the five levels, there is Dinosphere situated in the museum. Visitors may find it quite different to the other attractions. The museum also has a planetarium and a theater along with children’s plays and live entertainment.
