The 129-foot Burney Falls was named after pioneer settler Samuel Burney who lived in the area in the 1850s is one of the most beautiful falls in the state. Unlike other falls this picturesque fall continues to flow at the same rate all year long. It’s located on Hwy 89 about 6 miles North of Hwy 299 E. Burney Creek originates from the park's underground springs and flows to Lake Britton, getting larger along the way to the majestic falls. There are five miles of hiking trails winding through the park's evergreen forests. The Pacific Crest Trail passes through the park.
